Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music pay independent artists less than half a penny per stream, typically around £0.002–£0.004, (approximately €0.002–€0.005 or US$0.003–$0.005). So, roughly 3,000–4,000 Spotify streams to generate about £10 (approximately €11.00 or US$13.00).
And that’s before paying, a distributor (such as CD Baby or DistroKid), payment processing fees, studio and recording costs, video production, equipment, software, promotion, advertising, subscriptions, website etc
